House Plan Over4- The interior is open, no walls. Downstairs is the kitchen, the living room, a bathroom, a lobby and a technical room with an outside entrance. In the lobby, a cabinet is located on the left, the entrance to the bathroom is on the right, it contains a toilet, a washing machine and a laundry and a wash-basin. Open the door and get to the living area. In front is a sofa that is divided into modules and a TV. On the right, integrated into the technical module, as a rectangular cut, is the kitchen. In front of it we find the table for eight people and the seats, which can be tightened and stored under the stairs. The structure is also modular. There are pillars and beams frames, prefabricated panels containing OSB, mineral wool and OSB and the technical module. It contains the lobby, the lower bathroom, the technical room and the kitchen. It is the part of the house that remains assembled and finished. The entire structure of the house is ready in two days. It assembles like a lego. The stairs are to the left of the plane, next to them is a library that reaches up to the partial floor. Upstairs is the bedroom, the bathroom with the shower and the balcony. The balustrade that protects the ladder continues upwards along the floor of the partial floor. It has several offices because we want the Over4 prototype to be able to adapt to multiple operating scenarios. The bed in the bedroom can be lifted and integrated into the furniture. The only goal facade is the South, which is at the bottom of the plan. The shape of the house is rectangular.
General Information
The Over4 project started with the topic announced by Solar Decathlon Europe 2019 aimed for the competition. Solar Decathlon is an international contest primarily addressed to all students who bring sustainable architecture and integrated technologies in the spotlight. It involves building a passive house in 15 days, following two weeks of monitoring. The subject proposed for this year’s edition is the rehabilitation of the fund and urban regeneration. The Over4 team, consisting of 35 students, graduates and teachers, have identified a number of blocks built during the communist era, namely the four storey ones that we plan to expand vertically and horizontally. On the vertical plan there is going to be an attic with six similar modules to improve existing living, having features such as shared space, coworking space, or other functions related to these. Horizontally, we propose an extension in order to to expand the interior space. For the competition we extracted a module that we adapted and turned it into a home.
