Image description

The image shows a model of a high-performance electric car, which uses Li-Ion cell batteries, known as Tesla, Model Three, seen from side, facing left.

The Tesla Model Three has a range of up to three hundred and twenty kilometers and can reach almost one hundred kilometers per hour in over six seconds, with a top speed of two hundred and eight kilometers per hour. It recharges electrically from special stations.

It is a rectangular, slightly elongated car with a curved roof, with a low height from the ground, being designed as a sport city car.

The exterior skeleton of the car, also called car body, is marked embossed.

The headlights and turn signals on the front, left, and rear, bottom right, are rendered in blank rectangles.

The wheels at the bottom have their tires highlighted by embossed circles.

The car has four doors, from side being shown two, respectively the one from the driver, left, and the back one, right, outlined by a blank, thickened line.

The side windows at the top of the car, which are attached to the vehicle doors, are highlighted by blank shapes.

A man is standing in the right bottom corner, thus positioned to facilitate the comparison of the dimensions of the car to the height of an adult.

General information

After the appearance and multiplication of cars with thermal engines, it was discovered that they pollute the environment. Pollution has serious consequences for people’s health, but also on the climate. As a result of massive pollution of carbon dioxide and other gases in the environment, diseases related to the respiratory system have multiplied. At the same time, because of massive emissions of emissions, the greenhouse effect has arisen, which has led to the phenomenon of global warming. The increase in temperature has led to climate destabilization, and thus have multiplied extreme weather phenomena, such as hurricanes, violent tropical storms, excessive rains, but also to long periods of drought. These meteorological phenomena have led to the development of a whole chain of other associated phenomena. As a result of heavy rains, floods and landslides occur. Due to extremely high temperatures and very dry periods, forest fires occur. Thus, the whole environment is affected by man-made pollution.

To reduce harmful emissions, people have sought various solutions to replace internal combustion engines. That is how the various electric vehicles came about. Some use the electricity supplied through the electricity grid, others use batteries, and some others use hydrogen to generate electricity. The ones that use the electricity generated by power plants are trolleybuses, trams and electric locomotives.

The most famous and valuable electric car company is Tesla Motors, led by Elon Musk, a man of brilliant intelligence. The vehicles manufactured by this company are based on lithium-ion batteries. These are modern batteries and are used in most electronic devices, such as phones, tablets, and laptops.

As electric cars need power to recharge batteries, Tesla has developed its own and the fastest network of charging stations. These stations are called Superchargers and have the advantage that they can charge a car’s battery up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Compared to fueling cars that have thermal motors, where the process takes about 5 minutes, powering an electric car requires a longer time frame. However, if a trip is carefully planned, this time is not lost, but is redeemed. For example, while the car is charging, the driver can rest, shop, or eat. When the charging process is completed, the driver receives a notification in this respect on the mobile phone.

The Tesla Model 3 is a five-seater electric car for passengers and was launched on the market in 2017. One of the e important specifications of an electric car is the battery life, i.e. the distance it can travel with a single battery charge. The autonomy of this model can exceed five hundred kilometres, depending on the road conditions, driving mode and battery capacity chosen when purchasing. Other features include autopilot or assisted driving, but also two powerful electric motors. It reaches a hundred kilometres per hour in about five seconds, but there is also a sport variant, called Performance, which reaches the same speed in three seconds. According to the manufacturer, the strength of this model is passenger safety in the event of an accident. Thanks to the very solid construction, it can support four times its own weight, the equivalent of two adult elephants.

According to statistics from March 2020, it is the best-selling electric car in history.

Did you know that an electric car has maintenance costs close to zero? This is because an electric car has a much simpler construction, so it has fewer parts that can break down, compared to a thermal motor car. First, it has no gearbox, and no clutch disk.

Another interesting thing is that most electric cars have regenerative brakes. In short, we do not use the classic brake, but brake with the engine. When we use regenerative braking, the car’s engine is no longer a consumer, but becomes an electricity generator and loads the battery. If we go down a slope, we charge back into the battery a significant amount of electricity, and thus increase the battery life of the electric vehicle. For this reason, classic brakes are rarely used, only when the car has to be stopped urgently. As a result, the mechanical brake is not worn out.
