Image description
The image shows the face of a person who expresses the emotion called anticipation. This emotional state is reflected on the outside, through different facial expressions. There are forty two individual muscles in the face, that are activated by the respective emotion, and impacts facial expressions on the facial elements: forehead, eyebrows, eyelids, nose, cheeks, lips, chin.
The face is oval, rendered blank, outlined, with a broad forehead and a square jaw. The wide ears, on either side of the edge of the face, are rendered as two vertically elongated ovals, marking the earlobe. The nose, in the center of the face, is long and ends at the base, above the lips, with a convex or curvy tip with wide nostrils, on either side.
The eyebrows, under the forehead and above the eyes, are rendered as two embossed, slightly sloping lines, highly arched on the edges, towards the temples on each side of the face. The eyes are shown as two blank horizontal ovals, in the center of which is the eyeball highlighted by a thickened circle.
The mouth under the nose is wide open, and has the upper and lower lips separated and rendered as two embossed lines, curved inwards. Between the lips are exposed the teeth inside the mouth, rendered blank.
The hair on the head is cut short, starting from the edge of the forehead, and on either side it frames the face above the ears, left and right, being shown embossed.
In case of anticipation, the eyebrows are raised very high above the eyelids, on the forehead, and arched, giving a note of interest. Raising the eyebrows very high folds the skin above them into a crease, marked just above the sharp corners of the eyebrows through a dashed line, curved upwards. Thus, the forehead is wrinkled and pushed above the eyebrows. This crease is rendered in the middle of the forehead by a dashed line, curved upwards.
The mouth is wide open with the corners raised and stretched to the side, forming dimples on either side of the mouth, highlighted by a dashed line, curved towards the big smile.
