Image description

The image shows a vehicle larger than a personal car and smaller than a coach, viewed from side, facing to the left.

The minibus is a square car, being designed for long journeys, but it is not as equipped in facilities for a high level of comfort, as in the case of a coach.

It also does not have a large number of seats, with limited interior space, only for sixteen to twenty two passengers and some luggage.

The outside shell of the car, also called the car body, is represented in full relief.

The front pair of wheels is highlighted by two embossed half circles, placed vertically, at the bottom, one to the left and other to the right.

The windscreen, or the front glass, is rendered by a horizontal rectangle, large and hollow, outlined by a thin line.

At the top ends of the minibus are positioned wing mirrors, which allow the driver to see in the rear-side, and are highlighted by small, vertical and embossed rectangles.

At the bottom of the facade are the two headlights, left and right, which illuminate in front the road , and are marked by two small horizontal and blank rectangles.

Under the two headlights, in the center, below, is the license plate of the vehicle, rendered by a horizontal rectangle, filled with texture of oblique and parallel lines.

In the right edge, there is a man standing,  thus positioned to facilitate the comparison of the dimensions of the vehicle to the height of an adult.

Additional information

The minibus is a passenger carrying motor vehicle, which as a capacity is located between the private car and the bus. It has a seating capacity of up to 22 people, excluding the driver’s seat. The minibus is 8 meters long and 2 meters wide.

The minibus is a short vehicle, unsuitable for the upright position during transport. It has the advantage of offering more comfort and more space to the passengers than the private car, which makes the longer route less stressful.

Minibuses have the same technical platforms as cargo vans. The minibus has a public role and can be used in cities as a means of transport for persons, which transits by fixed route, ensuring the transport of people to airports. In addition, the minibus can be used for public services, without a preset route and fixed schedule, by local authorities, hospitals or foundations.

Considered to be the safest means of transport on the road, the minibus is often used for tourism purposes, for family trips and group trips. The minibus can also provide transportation for employees, students and athletes.

Some countries may require an additional class of driver’s licence over a normal private car licence. The need for such a licence may depend on the vehicle weight or size, the seating capacity, the driver age, the additional training.
