Image description
The image shows a vehicle larger than a personal car and smaller than a coach, viewed from side, facing to the left, seen from above.
The minibus is a square car, being designed for long journeys, but it is not as equipped in facilities for a high level of comfort, as in the case of a coach.
It also does not have a large number of seats, with limited interior space, only for seventeen passengers and some luggage.
The outside shell of the car, also called the car body, is missing, hence the interior of the car it is shown from above.
The first seat in the top left is the driver’s seat, and in front of it, meaning to its left, there is the steering wheel, represented by a full embossed circle.
The seats of the passengers, separated by a narrow corridor and highlighted by small embossed squares, are aligned on two rows, as it follows:
- the right edge consists of a four-seat column;
- it follows a double row, in the upper side, with four seats each row, totaling eight seats;
- finishing with the bottom single row with four seats.
Following the double row from above, is a metal bar, rendered by a vertical line, which separates the passenger space from the driver’s seat, on the left.
Next to the bottom row, there is another metal bar, rendered by a vertical line, which separates the passenger space from the staircase.
The stairs on the left, below the driver’s seat, are represented by three horizontal, parallel lines.
After drivers’s seat, to the left edge of the car, there is the car hood or the car bonnet, a component of the front body, a metal part that covers and protects the engine, marked as an embossed rectangle.
At the left end of the bonnet, in the corners, up and down, the headlights are placed, which are marked with blank rounded shapes.
Additional information
The minibus is a passenger carrying motor vehicle, which as a capacity is located between the private car and the bus. It has a seating capacity of up to 22 people, excluding the driver’s seat. The minibus is 8 meters long and 2 meters wide.
The minibus is a short vehicle, unsuitable for the upright position during transport. It has the advantage of offering more comfort and more space to the passengers than the private car, which makes the longer route less stressful.
Minibuses have the same technical platforms as cargo vans. The minibus has a public role and can be used in cities as a means of transport for persons, which transits by fixed route, ensuring the transport of people to airports. In addition, the minibus can be used for public services, without a preset route and fixed schedule, by local authorities, hospitals or foundations.
Considered to be the safest means of transport on the road, the minibus is often used for tourism purposes, for family trips and group trips. The minibus can also provide transportation for employees, students and athletes.
Some countries may require an additional class of driver’s licence over a normal private car licence. The need for such a licence may depend on the vehicle weight or size, the seating capacity, the driver age, the additional training.
